Comprehensive Remote PTZ Camera Solution | Ultimate Guide to Installing

PTZ Camera or a Pan-Tilt-Zoom Security Surveillance Camera has varying enhanced features than all other sta security surveillance cameras. In the case of any standard static security surveillance camera system, the field of view is always determined only at the time of its deployment and cannot be changed until and unless the deployment angle or the security camera lens is being changed. This limits the scope of the static security surveillance camera a great deal as there are many huge blinds and loopholes in the security system design or its layout whereas PTZ security cameras on the other hand bring complete flexibility and compatibility with movement in all the directions in 360 degrees and simpler installation and deployment at the desired location which makes them stand out from other security cameras.

Here are some of the distinguishing features of the PTZ camera system available for optimum surveillance coverage-

  • Field of view- Field of view also depends on the mounting and deployment at a desired location of the security surveillance camera, as majorly a PTZ security camera can capture and record the full surveillance area by 360-degree rotation in all directions. This advanced and more enhanced feature minimizes all the blinds spots and hence the need to install multiple security cameras can be reduced by several folds, making them an ideal and reliable option to cover wide areas such as rooftops, malls, playgrounds, and parking lots. At times, one or even two PTZ security cameras provide ample and optimum coverage for the entire area, thus making the camera cost-effective without compromising on the security and safety of the premises.
  • Detecting and Tracking motion- Majorly all PTZ security surveillance camera systems also come with the motion detection sensors inbuilt within. This gives an added security feature and an extra advantage as the motion detection sensors will detect any kind of uncertain movement in its field of view and result in the automatic pan, tilt, or zoom of the respective security camera, thus following and capturing any movement or security breach around them.

  • Zoom-in and Auto Focus- The PTZ Camera is embedded with a powerful zoom feature with a varying range of 12x to 40x. This helps get a clear and visible image even when the object or individual is farther away from the security camera, also the camera can sometimes remain out of sight of everyone while still be able to capture clear and visible images. With the help of the Auto Focus feature, a PTZ surveillance camera will capture and record clear data no matter how much or where it is panned, tilted, or zoomed or where any object or individual is standing. Most PTZ cameras are already integrated with the Autofocus feature that adjusts the IR lens of the camera itself and mainly focuses on the clarity of the image even in dark environments. This feature helps to get good and clear-quality images in any light condition.

  • Weather-proof- Due to advancements in technology the PTZ security cameras are now best suitable and an ideal must-have option for large outdoor areas such as playgrounds, warehouse and parking lots, etc. This is also because most of the PTZ security cameras available in the market are weather-proof and can withstand any harsh weather conditions or extreme climates.
  • Tamper-proof- Ideally, the PTZ Camera are mounted and deployed high above ground level. This not only assists in their 360-degree complete coverage of the whole surveillance area but also makes them full resistant to vandalism or tampering or any damage by intruders.  Also, most PTZ surveillance cameras are designed and manufactured with high-strength poly-carbonate structures making them virtually unbreakable to vandals or malicious activities.
